Tirupati Trip- A Photo Essay

My quick, 2 day trip to Tirupati was eye-opening in a lot of ways. I went to spend more time with myself, take some time off from all external influences and for once, live a poor man. About that, later. But with a camera in hand, and an open mind, it was one awesome clicking experience. The idea of compiling all the photos and working on it didn't strike me until I almost made my way back home. Anyway, this is the best of what I could do with the pictures I took. Clicked by my meager Olympus Camedia C-170 and edited in Picasa 3.

A pair of Denims and a Backpack, an Aesthetic Voyager arrives.

What I didn't realize all these years was that Tirupati wasn't just for Gods or devotees. Normal people live there who go to work and watch movies.

MS Subbulakshmi's statue at a traffic signal.

Start of the walk at Alipiri.

The best Daddojanam I ever ate.

Indians ain't illiterate. They manage to write even on roofs!

Loads of Deer.

This guy was selling 'Aizz' and reading an English newspaper. A real cool dude if I ever knew one.

Jeans and landscape.

View from the walking path.

Little kids selling wares. A real sad sight but nothing I could do about it.

The primary street in Tirumala.

They make some great coffee here.

The classic temple view.

The Dad factor.

One of the saddest pictures I ever clicked. Was next to the woman who sold those necklaces. Almost wept.

Sing Annamaya keerthanas all day long. Great bhajans.

An old farmer thatha I met near the temple.

Found this at the end of the walk.

Clicked from off the road.

Good one Aditya.
The shadow picture is definitely impressive. I love the collage of dads pictures. The thatha's picture is very nice as it shows the details in his face. You missed out on the '10 bucks a piece' picture as you have not captured the most visible part, the colors. It is looking bland (photoshop will help). The street picture looks nostalgic, it seems to be in sepia mode. A close-up of the kids selling wares would have worked out very nicely. The "start of the walk" pic is a good capture except for the glare.
I have not gone through the write up as I have to get back to finishing my own blog. I will come back, read it and post my comments ;) Keep posting.
